calendar Wood Close is a traditional country house built on the slopes of Rydal Fell, and now divided into 9 apartments. Set in secluded grounds overlooking Grasmere Lake and valley, there are superb views from the terrace, and the picture windows of first floor apartments. Ambleside, is 3 miles away, and Keswick, 12 miles to the North. Helm Crag apartment is at the rear of the development. The property has undergone a refurbishment, with well fitted kitchen and bathroom and a good feeling of space throughout, the  accommodation and coordinated style instantly create a delightful atmosphere, the view out of the lounge window is awesome!

Grasmere is a beautiful village in the heart of the Lake District National Park, situated in a valley surrounded by Fells. Lovely old cottages and houses built of the local blue-green slate sit along side the art galleries and shops that line the twisty streets of the village. Dove Cottage once a pub called the Dove and Olive branch was the home of William Wordsworth. At the centre of the village is St Oswald’s Church, the graveyard contains the Wordsworth family graves. Grasmere lake lies to the south of the village, around which there are some gentle giants, the craggy peaks of the Scafell Pikes, Helvellyn, Skiddaw and the Langdale Pikes rising to a height of 3,100 ft or 950 metres.
